  • How to Prepare Abstract
  • Your email address will be your sign up ID and used for all UIA 2017 Seoul accounts (Registration, Abstract Submission, Accommodation) It is strongly recommended that the presenting authors submit their abstracts electronically via website. All the correspondence regarding the status of the abstract will be sent to the only presenting and corresponding author. In case you submit an abstract, as a representative of presenter/corresponding author(s), please provide the ACTUAL E-MAIL ADDRESS of PRESENTER, CORRESPONDING AUTHOR(S).

Design Work

An abstract should indicate the preferred presentation method (either oral or poster presentation) when submitting an abstract.

An abstract must be written and presented in English.

An abstract should not exceed more than TWO pages, inclusive of photos and diagrams and should be submitted as an electronic file in pdf format.

Each oral presentation will have 15 minutes (10 minutes presentation and 5 minutes Q&A) allocated.

Title of an abstract should be written with both upper and lower case letters and should not exceed 50 words.

All accepted abstract will be published in Proceedings.

Some outstanding Papers and Design works will be awarded for awards and their full papers could also be published in a book edited by the committee.

  • How to Submit Abstract
  • Step 01. Sign Up
  • Please log on to www.uia2017seoul.org. First time users need to sign-up with a valid email address as a user name and password on the system before logging in. Please click Online Submission to submit your abstract.
  • Step 02. Abstract Submission
  • Submission will only be accepted online via the official website.
  • Step 03. Confirmation of Abstract Submission
  • An Acknowledgement of abstract submission will be automatically sent to presenting and corresponding author(s) via e-mail upon completion of online submission. This letter is not a notification of abstract acceptance but a notification of an abstract submission. It is the responsibility of each individual to verify the acknowledgements and carefully review the submitted abstract, as some special characters may not be readable. Submitted abstract can be viewed, revised or updated at My Page on the website until January 5, 2017.
  • Step 04. Notification of Abstract Acceptance
  • The Scientific Committee will review all abstracts that are submitted on time and are in accordance with the specified format. The Committee reserves the right to reject any proposals, which fail to comply with the submission guidelines mentioned above. After receiving a notification of acceptance, the presenting authors are obliged to register in advance. Accepted abstracts submitted by authors who failed to register before the deadline may not be included in the proceedings.

Paper   

Paper should be an academic work, related to one of the subjects.

Text must be written and presented in English.

Paper must include ‘keywords (up to 5 words), objectives, background, methods, and conclusion.’

Title of an abstract should be written with both upper and lower case letters and should not exceed 50 words.

Papers should be written in 4 or 6 pages.

Use 10 point text. Left justify all text. (10 Arial fonts with line spacing 1.0 in A4 portrait orientation.)

Leave one line of space between paragraphs.

Full paper in pdf format should be uploaded online (my page) by May 31, 2017.

Each oral presentation will have 15 minutes (10 minutes presentation and 5 minutes Q&A;) allocated.

All papers should be original, have not been published before or not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

All accepted abstracts and papers will be published in Proceedings.

Some outstanding papers and design works will be awarded for awards and their full papers could also be published in a book edited by the committee.

  • Please log on to www.uia2017seoul.org.
  • Step 02. My page
  • Please click ‘My page’ and check the ‘Full paper – Upload’ to submit your paper by May 31, 2017. Please use the template available above to prepare your paper. When uploading your final document, please kindly be reminded to double-check your contact information carefully. You will also be asked to complete the Copyright Transfer Agreement and the Speaker’s Biography Form on ‘My page’ for the Session Chairman to introduce you during the session.
  • Step 03. Confirmation of Submission
  • An Acknowledgement of paper submission will be automatically sent to presenting and corresponding author(s) via e-mail upon completion of online submission. It is the responsibility of each individual to verify the acknowledgements and carefully review the submitted abstract and paper, as some special characters may not be readable. Submitted paper can be viewed, revised or updated at My Page on the website until May 31, 2017.
  • Step 04. Review and Notification
  • Submitted papers will be reviewed by reviewers and comments may be provided by July 5, 2017 in order to improve the quality of your submitted full paper. After receiving a notification of acceptance, the presenting authors are obliged to register in advance.
